My indoor cat was eating out of boredom not hunger, gobbling her dry food allotment in minutes and then pestering me all day for more. I purchased this in hopes it would slow down her consumption and give her something to do. Took her a day or so to figure out how to get the dry food to come out, but eventually she figured out a method that spills the pieces for her. (One that in addition to using her paws can include grabbing it with her teeth and flinging it across the floor.) Now she know she knows to check it periodically for crunchy treats. It works great, and actually keeps us both amused.
