About a month ago, I found a small pet supply store that offered a pretty good deal on these cans, so I decicded to buy a couple and let my cats give it a try. We're transitioning foods for our kittie, abd we're trying to find foods that are cost-effective and nutritiously beneficial. I especially like the first three ingredients in Chicken, Chicken Broth, and Chicken Liver. I also like the fact that grain in the form of ground brown rice doesn't appear until the sixth ingredient. While this does contain carrageenan, it is a very small amount, being the second-to-last ingredient. The bad news is that the last ingredient is Taurine. I'd like to see that a bit higher. This would be a concern if this was the only food I was feeding them.
But this food is versatile. It's meaty enough to feed stand-alone in a meal. It's flaky texture alsom makes it a great mix in for pate-style foods. I also use it to gain extra meat in stew-type foods, And I get it for a reasonable price (under $1.50/can), too. It has become a 'keeper' at our house, and I'm looking forward to trying more products from this company.
