This bowl looks good at first glance. Different colors are also a great thing for
multiple pet households.
The rubber bottom is very helpful in keeping dishes from sliding around.
HOWEVER -
the bowl itself is made of plastic!
This is not really good for any pet, but especially not good for cats.
No matter how carefully you clean a plastic bowl, it gets small scratches
in there from the pets' teeth (and possibly paws). These small scratches
then get bacteria caught in there. Even if you run it through the dishwasher,
bacteria can hide in these cracks very successfully.
Plastic dishes are also a main cause of feline acne.
Does your cat look like it has gotten into the pepper on its chin?
If so, it has feline acne. You need to get rid of all plastic dishes.
Also remember to not get one that is too deep, since cats don't like their
whiskers bending backwards while they eat.
You can get a rubber ring around a stainless steel bowl, which is much healthier
for your pet, for very little more. Make the investment of a few more dollars,
and pass on this plastic bowl please.
