These work great for our cats we have two feeders, one for each cat. The feeders seem solid and the stainless steel insert is great because one of our cats has a reaction to plastic. They are easy to clean and easily slide in place. My only complaint is that our food (fairly small kibble) doesn't trickle into the bowl the way we were expecting for a gravity based food dispenser. We have to give it a nudge every other day or so in order for the bowls to refill.
