I first saw the Bamboo Cleaning Brush at a Dollar Store in town, and although it was designed as an animal bowl cleaning brush, I purchased it for dish washing. Much to my surprise, I found that it outlasted most of the dish washing brushes I had bought in the past.
The problem with traditional dish washing brushes is that usually after a few months of washing dishes, the bristles get bent back, and the brush has to be replaced. But not the Bamboo Brush...it just lasted and lasted.
The Dollar Store in town stopped carrying these, so I found them here on Amazon, and was glad to pay a little extra for these quality brushes.
The only reason I had to replace my original is that a friend used it to wash a pot that was still quite hot, and some of the bristles got melted. Otherwise, it would still be going strong after half a year of use.
The little brush in the handle is also useful for getting into small corners of some kitchen items, although I usually do not put it back in the handle as I have found that it can cause some mold to grow if it is still wet.
