Yes, it costs a bit more than Uncle Wally's Bargain Dog Food but it lacks the fillers and artificial junk found in many of the cheap foods. Note that the first two ingredients are chicken and chicken meal. In your cheap foods the first ingredient may be corn or wheat with meat by-products somewhere down the list. Another plus is the inclusion of menhaden fish meal a source of fiber and high quality protein.
Our two girls have been thriving on this food for the past year. Their stools have been mostly well formed and solid; their health has been good. I like that the kibble is small enough for the dainty mouths of our shih tzu and our Bolognese. To top it all off, our girls like the taste of this food and mostly eat it with enjoyment except for those fussy days when nothing will catch their fancies.
As good as this food may be, I sadly must add that there is no POTATO content here.
