I wanted a no-maintenance product, since I would never remember to refill a water trough. These are so expensive, but worth their weight in gold. Zero ants and zero maintenance.
Previous reviewer said their cats are scared of them because they are too big. My cat had no issues. He is an outdoor cat. I just put his regular bowl inside of this one. It is true that they are huge.
