I first met up with Stella & Chewy via a manufacturer's rep who was passing out little baggies with samples at my local pet store a couple of years ago. I crumbled two or three marble-sized pieces atop each of their half-a-can apiece grain-free dinners. Went over well. Went back and bought the 12 oz. bag. Have been serving them their S&C that way ever since, varying the flavors, all of which they seem to like. It was only when I came here and mistook the little bitty .8 oz single-serving S&C bags for a product different from the one we'd long been using that I got around to noticing the instructions on the bag that tell you to add water and stir and that that's a complete meal equivalent to a 3 oz. can. Hmmm. It had never occurred to me to do that. So I gave it a try. The cats ate it but gave me kind of a "Yeah, fine, but where's the beef? or chicken? or fish?" look. So I've reverted back to using this product as a topper for their grain-free canned dinners.
Regarding some customer complaints about how the contents of many or most of these bags of marble-sized goodies arrive from Amazon all crumbled up, even in the big 12 oz. bags, please know that the S&C from the pet store also comes with about two thirds of its "marbles" pre-crumbled and from what I can see, the cats don't care one way or the other.
My guys have tried just about all the S&C flavors and like them all.
