9 Lives Cat Food is one Meal my Cats really like and enjoy eating it. Chicken and Tuna Dinner, one of the many Flavors that is Good for them and I get it Locally. They like eating it maybe twice a week. 100% Completed and Balanced Nutrition with all kinds of Vitamins, Nutrients and Minerals all supposed to be Good for Cats. I can get several Meals out of each Can of Food, my Cats are a little Finicky so I have to try different Flavors and Brands all the time. I have tried other more expensive Cat Food from popular Specialty Pet Shops or other Food Boutiques for Pets, however, they don't want any of that, they Crave and prefer to eat 9 Lives. I bought this food after researching ferret nutrition for some time before getting my first ferret. I wish I would have read some more before I bought it. Not only did I pay too much ($19 at Petco) but I'm not crazy about some of the ingredients. The 3rd ingredient is rice, which ferrets can't digest so I guess it's there for filler. It also has banana puree and raisin juicesugars are not good for ferrets. I also don't like that the fat level is low and the shape has a tendency to get stuck in ferret mouths.
On the plus side, it's inexpensive and my ferret likes it. It only makes up about a quarter of his food mix so it balances out. (He also gets Natures Variety Instinct Duck/Turkey and Wellness Core)
The ingredients are better than Marshall's food so I recommend this food over that. I used the MoreDooks food chart to compare.

Its not very healthy for your dog. It can cause dry skin, dull coat, intestinal back up, yuck, anal glands fill up quickly, and lacks a lot of the fiber needed for a dog to move it's bowels properly. My dog has experienced all of these. Now, over a thousand dollars at the vet and a switch to new dog food, my furchild is now happy and healthy again.

Been feeding my cat grain-free since she was a kitten, and exclusively Blue Buffalo Wilderness for the past year-and-a-half. She loves this Indoor flavor (it's got hairball control, by the way), as well as the Salmon variety. Duck, however, took a little getting used to. Anyway, she thrives on Blue Wilderness. It's definitely quality stuff and worth the extra few bucks to know you're giving your cat one of the best foods around.

My dog has been eating this vitamin for about two years. I have a South Carolina dog (aka American Dingo). We bought these vitamins because I worried about her nutrition. I cook for her because of her food allergies and know that I am not providing all of the nutrients she needs. I give her this and a Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet after clearing them both through my vet. Although this is a chewable, she gets each of them wrapped in a piece of lunch meat every morning when I am making lunches. Since this is a whole foods vitamin, it is a huge pill shaped like a dog bone but she doesn't even seem to notice it in the lunch meat. When she hears me making the sandwiches she comes running for her lunch meat ( I mean vitamin.) She sheds like crazy and I can't say this stopped her shedding. However, she is five years old, healthy and energetic.
I gave this four stars because twice now I've received it with the vitamins crumbled inside. Amazon is great about replacing them. Because they are whole food, maybe they are just more fragile. Although they are always packed correctly, perhaps the temperature outside combined with the handling contributes to the breakage. The second time it happened I just gave her enough pieces to equal a whole vitamin for each serving.

Our cichlids love this food. The flakes are large but perfect for our fish. The food has helped our tank color up and become super healthy. We have Yellow fin Acei, Frontosa, Kenyi cichlids, blue dolphin mooriis, yellow banded mooriis (and one moliro), along with a few Auratus. We added these flakes to their pellets (newlife spectrum) and had amazing results and vivid colors after 2 weeks. We have been feeding for about 2 months now. Our fish are also breeding.. a lot! Getting the large bucket saves quite a bit and is definitely worthwhile if you have a larger tank or multiple tanks. We will be buying this item again.

The package arrived safely. My Lories like the nuggets a lot. I actually grind the nuggets to a rough powder in the blender and put the powder in a food dish with a bit of water. My indoor cat was eating out of boredom not hunger, gobbling her dry food allotment in minutes and then pestering me all day for more. I purchased this in hopes it would slow down her consumption and give her something to do. Took her a day or so to figure out how to get the dry food to come out, but eventually she figured out a method that spills the pieces for her. (One that in addition to using her paws can include grabbing it with her teeth and flinging it across the floor.) Now she know she knows to check it periodically for crunchy treats. It works great, and actually keeps us both amused.

I have several cats that had been on top shelf foods. I had to make cuts, and after quite some time weaning them off one, and then another, found Taste of the wild, trout, to be very good. The ingredients and nutrients are comparable to higher priced foods. They even list the PH on their website (can't remember, but just right).

We began feeding our yellow lab this product at about 1 year old because of problems with other dry foods. He turned 14 on 1-23-12, so he must be "eating" right! We certainly don't want to change what has worked so well all these years!

I really wanted my 2 yr old cat to like these treats because I already feed her Wellness wet food, which is excellent by itself. Perhaps she's too used to the Whiskas Temptations that I normally give her, but she did not like the jerky bits at all. I did notice it was hard for her to pick up because they're pretty flat, and the texture is chewier than what she's used to. The 3rd time I gave her the treats, she vomited it out. Looks like it's back to the less healthy alternative.

I purchased the High Tech Pet Humane Contain X-10 Rechargeable Multi-function Electronic Dog Fence which is essentially the same product with a more advanced collar to be able to operate all the products High Tech Pet has. I am NOT a fan of electric fences for dogs, however, I have a stubborn Siberian who kept escaping our yard and running over to the neighbors and killing their cats. We had to do something. (Our physical fence is 8 feet high and has a two stage barrier, meaning she has to get past a security fence placed around the original fence. Rebar was placed 4 inches appart along the bottom of the fence and she was still escaping [we live on 5 acres]).Setup took 2 hours and the RX-10 collar was charged out of the box. I know this because I tested it on myself several times before putting it on my dog. I am a trainer myself and will not use negative stimulus training unless I know the extent of the correction. Once setup, we showed my Siberian the boundaries and she would get the minor pulse and be confused. I decided to let her off leash and feel the full correction. She went to her usual spot and was corrected at full intensity (she needed it, trust me). She has never tried to test the boundaries again, as long as she is wearing the collar. In defense of your comment, the instrructions are not very clear as to how to charge the battery. At one point it says to charge it with the unit on, then at another with the unit off. I found it charges best with the unit off. My only other problem with the collar is there is no way to just make it beep, since once she had the full correction, she no longer needed the correction. The tech support was worthless as is with most products on the market today. I hope the Pet Safe works for you. Without the Humane Contain, I might have had to build a permanent kennel for my Sibe.
