The bowl is nice. It is pretty. It's nice you can take out the stainless steel part to wash. NOTHING wrong as a feeding bowl.
BUT
The DESCRIPTION should tell many many OUNCES it holds, instead of or in addition to, the dimensions. I thought it would hold over a gallon (I'm a math deficient and I could not imagine the dimensions) because it said a large dog. I have a 50and a 30pound dog (and three cats). Even indoors I have to check it at least twice a day for water. As a feeding bowl it's probably about right for a rottie.
