Ok, this food is expensive, but my 2 cats and 1 kitten LOVE this stuff!
I used to give them just dry food, thinking it was better than the wet, but not so. After researching and reading, I realized cats need more moisture in their foods and the dry food can be worse for their teeth because it is more likely to get caught between them.
I was giving my kids Wellness grain free canned and still a little kibble (Instinct) because they just love it. I recently tried the Primal chicken for something new and they really like it. The best part is that I mix it with a little water and it is everything they need. I feel better about this because I am not paying for the water like in cans. I'm still figuring out the whole cost thing, whether canned or freeze dried is less expensive, but I have to admit, they are not getting a bunch of fillers, they are healthy and bright eyed, with good energy, and they are at a great weight. I feel it is our responsibility to take care of these domesticated animals they way they should be cared for. They give us SO much in return, love, entertainment, comfort.
The bottom line? I give them Primal (2 nuggets crumbled in water each) in the morning, and dry Instinct in the evening or ZiwiPeak lamb recipe which is an air dried food. No grain, water bowls around the house, and we have the best looking, healthiest, happiest cats around!
