Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program There is a very strong fish smell upon opening this bag. It's that fish smell that attracted my 14-year-old Siamese to the bowl first, and my younger Siamese mix second. The kibble is ideal for cat mouthes.
I am impressed with the ingredients: the first three are all various fish meals before Tapioca comes in as the 4th ingredient. Chicken fat, white fish meal, peas, sun-cured alfafa meal, and natural chicken flavor round up the top flavors. The crude protein is a minimum of 40%, crude fat comes in at 15.0% These are both very good percentages for pet food. And this means that one doesn't need to feed as much of this food as other foods. Despite the slightly high price for this bag, I am happy with this product. This food should last me three weeks.
On a side note, Nature's Variety is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The food all comes from the USA.
