My cats kidney numbers were a little high. Vet said to try this. I give him both the cans and the dry food. he can still eat other treats and such. The next vet visit, his numbers were normal.
Its a little pricey, but if your cat is having any kidney problems or pre-problems, it is SO worth it. He is almost 16 and going strong.
Amazon seems to be the only place you can just order it from....other places want a vets prescription....vets want you to buy it from them. This is the best deal on the dry and the wet food I have found. not all stores even carry both.
To cut down on the cost of the dry food, I mix in about 1/3 Iams Senior plus with it. His numbers still come up good. If you do water it down, make sure its a quality food you mix in. I think he enjoys the variety, too....he eats up both kinds of dry and a little bit of wet every day.
