I ordered this as a feeder for my two cats. Had a gravity feeder years ago for another cat that was much better. This feeder looks very nice but does not function well at all. Filled the bottle with the dry food and had to shake the base to start the gravity feed. As the cats consumed the food, the feeder would not relenish what was consumed. It got to the point the cats had to dig their paw into the back of the base in order to get a few morsels. If you shake the entire assembly, the food will drop down. Again, as it is used up, no replenishing. Even after removing the insert ring from the bottom of the bottle, no difference. Not at all what I expected. I have to get another model that I can rely on to do the job. I am away weekends, and cannot trust this unit to function properly. Will be returning this item.
