When I got my Ragdoll kitten, the breeder insisted that I feed him a certain brand of food. Every time I fed him as recommended, however, he had fits of diarrhea and vomiting. I alerted my vet and he went on a temporary diet of chicken and rice, which resolved the issue. We then agreed it best to try various wet and dry foods from local grocery stores for a few weeks each, to find which wouldn't be an issue.
No matter what we tried, the diarrhea and vomiting returned. After extensive (and expensive) testing, all results kept coming back the same; I had a completely healthy kitten. Unable to explain the issue, the vet gave me a few cans of Purina EN and suggested feeding him half of a can per day.
Here I am a year later, and my cat still loves it and has no diarrhea or vomiting issues at all. While it is more costly than most other wet foods, in this instance you truly do get what you pay for.
If your kitten or cat is having digestive issues, I'd highly recommend giving this wet food a shot; I mix 1/4 can with Purina One dry food, twice a day; 1 can lasts me two days.
