This product is great -my dogs have eaten Natural Balance products for years. My problem is with ordering it from amazon.com. I don't know how it could happen because I don't see any damage on the cans themselves, but when I open them, the dog food is noticeably dryer than in cans that I bought at a store. It's even crumbly! How can any canned dog food be crumbly??? It should be moist, like the thousands of other cans I've bought locally. None of these cans are past their expiration dates. I don't know if the problem is caused because of poor handling of the product or what. Whatever. It's certainly not worth risking my dog's health to save a few dollars buying his food online.
My male dog has been on a vegetarian diet for 6+ years and this is a fantastic product. My female has been eating Natural Balance's lamb & rice for even longer, and it's great, too. The only store in my area that carries Natural Balance products is Petco, and Petco's prices for it are unbelievably high, so I thought I'd try ordering it from amazon.com. I will never do that again!
Follow-up: I'd also ordered a case of Natural Balance Lamb & Rice canned dog food on amazon. Amazon sent the wrong variety -they sent the plain Lamb formula. I know I sound absurdly picky, but my female dog has stomach issues, and the Natural Balance Lamb & Rice is the ONLY food she can eat without throwing up every day. Amazon did offer to send the correct variety and told me to discard the one they'd sent in error (I donated it to a shelter), but when I got the replacement, they AGAIN sent the plain Lamb formula instead of the Lamb & Rice. It's just not worth the hassle to order dog food online.
