I have to say, this is the first time I've been so excited about a pet product, and of all things, a leash. Seriously, I want to kiss the people who came up with this design.
I just came back from walking our Schnauzer mix, and our new "Benji" mix; both about 20 pounds each. I love to give the dogs a chance to sniff, but also wanted to keep my shoulders in their sockets, and not totally embarrass myself in front of the neighbors. This leash came up in a search for couplers, and after looking at the design specs, I knew we'd have to give this a try. This is, without a doubt, a must-have for anybody trying to walk more than one dog at a time. It does exactly as it's described: it absorbs shock, yet lets the two furballs roam amongst each other, and not get tangled up. The leashes are just the right length, so nobody trips, or steps over their leash. Each segment rotates freely, which is what keeps the tangles at bay. Absolutely ingenious design, and great quality!
Don't let the price tag scare you. Yes, regular "non-stretchy" couplers can run you about 10 bucks, but they won't live up to everything the EZ Steps coupler leash can do. This one is truly worth every penny, with its ease of use, and well thought-out design. It's simple, but effective! It kept my little pack together, gave them a little room to spread out, cushioned my hand, and for the first time, I wasn't being pulled this way, and that. It's made our walks much more enjoyable :)
I plan to buy a spare, as a backup. Heaven forbid they stop making these! While we did buy the bright orange for safety and more visibility, I'd like to see some reflective threads woven in for future designs.
