Our 15 year old cat had been diagnosed w/ thyroid problem and is on medication. Always thirsty and eats all the time, but still losing quite a bit of weight. So much weight was lost, I was afraid I would come home to find her no longer with us. When we'd pet her, all we could feel was bones and flesh. It was awful seeing Stormy deteriorate. After a bit of research, I tried giving her kitten food and whiskas milk. Then did more research and found out about KMR. So glad I did. She is always ready to drink her milk and while she still feels a bit boney, she doesn't feel completely emaciated. She is gaining weight and always purring happy and super lovable. As a previous poster mentioned, it does state to refrigerate bag. So I'll take a .5 cup powder and add 1 cup warm water throw it in my tupperware mixer/shaker bottle and use it over the next 24 hours. So glad I decided to give this a try!!! I also give her cooked chicken which she is all too happy to eat! While this won't cure her thyroid problem, at least she's enjoying a better quality of life.
