We ordered this food because our 6 year old toy poodle was gaining too much weight on the regular small bite nutro. He recently started taking steroids for Addison's disease and that caused him to gain weight. We like the nutro brand, so we switched to this. He and his brother took to the food immediately! They were clueless that they had been put on a diet!
The unexpected benefit was that our 3 year old poodle stopped regurgitating when we switched him to this food. He'd been regurgitating most of his life and the dr's couldn't figure out why. This did the trick! Bonus!
The original dog's weight stabilized, but he hasn't lost any weight yet. I'll update if that changes.
I gave this food 4 stars instead of 5 because it only comes in 4 & 8 pound bags. I used to buy 20-30 lb bags of the regular food, so this is way less convenient or cost effective. I'd love to see this at my local store in huge bags, then I'd have a perfect solution.
