This is exactly as promised. Looks just like the ad photos and is very soft. I got a medium and it fits perfectly in my truck's passenger seat and my 13 pound Chihuahua sits or lies in the seat. Two smaller dogs would also fit. She can see out the window in either position and seems very comfortable. I like this type of pet car seat because it's secured by the truck's seat belt. The tether that's provided is very strong with a very secure metal hook that attaches to my dog's vest.
The first car seat I purchased was the hanging type it hung from the passenger seat head rest with it's own straps, and other straps wrapped around the seat back. It looked nice and was less expensive, but one of the wrap-around straps came off the seat before I was finished installing it. It was not sewn on well and would never have held in an accident. I returned it and bought this Snoozer Luxury II; I wanted one that was REALLY secured to the passenger seat.
I would definitely recommend this product.
Update, August 2013: We've had this car seat for around six months now, and couldn't be happier with it. It's still like new, very well made, looks great, and the best thing is that my dog loves to hang out in it. We are in the vehicle every day, and she spends time in her car seat even when we are parked, choosing to sit there instead of on the seats. When I get in the driver's seat, she jumps into her car seat to be hooked in. These are expensive, but one of the best purchases I've made.
