This is a great bowl to take on a hike. We love how it collapses, it's so compact and the carabiner makes it easy to clip on and take with you. Water is a necessity for all of us and having a small bowl for your dog actually saves water vs. cupping your hand to create a makeshift bowl--a bad idea because hands are too small and too much of your precious water ends up leaking onto the ground. We also really like the "normal" color over the other neon choices currently out there.
