read the ingredient list corn, soy ? how is this a healthy diet for Australian birds ( cockatiels, parakeets, bourkes, grass keets) these crops are not native to Australia. Corn and Soy are genetically manipulated in many cases so why would anyone feed this to birds that wouold forage for greens and seeds in the wild?

I have given this diet a trybeeing a breeder of over 20 yearswith horrible results. I usually feed seeds and a great variety of greens and never did I have a sick bird or an eggbound hen or any issues with breeding whatsoeverand I have kept hundreds of birds over the years I show my birds and they always look great. When I switched them to these pellets I found their condition lacking and had to take one of my hens to the vet after the breeding season due to an unexplained kidney failure thankfully she recovered ON SEED and veggies.

I know no serious breeders that will feed pellet only diets to their small birds. I am not sure why there is such a hype for pellets the vets are seeing an increasing amount of health issues in birds since the invention of pellets and there is not a single independant study out there that proves that pellets are superior to a seed AND veggie diet. The pellet companies fund biased "research" and vets make money selling pellets in their offices. Why is there no comparison between a ballanced seed diet with daily veggies and pellets?

Why would processed pellets be healther than fresh food?

Save your money and feed your birds fresh food.
