My senior female cat has had diarrhea for months. Turns out she has an inflamed stomach and bowl. I have tried the perscription food from the vet and she went on a hunger strike. We tried a bunch of other gormet and junk foods just to keep the weight on her (along with meds and probiotics). She is now only on the Basics food, likes it and finally has normal stools. It is worth to pay the extra money for this food but I do price shop it at the stores around me and order cases at a time.
