I had been previously feeding my 6 parrots the "colored" ZuPreem FruitBlend Flavors ML size, and easily transitioned to this more natural diet. Having it delivered through Amazon Prime was incredibly convenient since local stores do not carry anything larger than 5lbs. I keep about 5 lbs in a cereal dispenser for day to day feeding, and keep the rest in airtight containers for storage. If I didn't have so many birds to feed, I could probably freeze the extra for longer term storage but with 6 parrots (many of whom enjoy a good game of toss the pellets out of the dish), I go through food pretty quickly.
My Timneh African Grey, Congo African Grey, Umbrella Cockatoo, Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Bare-eyed Cockatoo, and Goffin Cockatoo all took to this food immediately as a mix with their previous food, and it is in a just slightly smaller size than the average ZuPreem FruitBlend Flavors shape in ML size. I prefer smaller pellets since I only wanted to have to use one food for both the smallest Goffin and the largest U2. If pellet size is important to your bird, it may be too small for larger cockatoos and a bit large for smaller conures. My birds don't seem to care. The size seems most ideal for birds similar in size to an African Grey.
In summary, this food is comparable to ZuPreem Medium to Large (ML) size FruitBlend, but doesn't contain artificial colors. This is extremely helpful in making sure your birds are healthy, because colored pellets can discolor bird droppings, preventing you from noticing illnesses. My birds get healthy fresh food daily along with the pellets for nutrition, foraging, and variety.
