The dish is specifically designed for wet food. My cat can eat without her whiskers getting bumped. She is also able to eat pretty much everything in the dish and no longer leaves a bunch of food in the corners. She eats about twice as much food since I switched her to this dish (which is good because she wasn't previously eating enough).
The construction of the dish is one solid piece. I haven't had any issues with it getting push around during eating. It has a large 6 inch diameter mouth with a special lip that "keeps the food in the dish". It is about 5.5 inches tall, works nicely for my cat.
