I switched my dog to the Iams Healthy Naturals chicken food about 2 months ago. Previously, she was eating Science Diet for the past 2 years. I didn't have any big issues with Science Diet, except for the fact that it was fairly expensive and I could only buy it at one of the local pet stores. Due to work schedules, it is sometimes difficult to get to a pet store while they were still open.
The reason I picked this Iams product is because the first few ingredients are actually meat, not wheat or rice, etc. I switched my dog over to the brand slowly, and she seems very happy with it. I realize there ARE better quality dog foods out there, such as the Blue Buffalo brands. However, the dog really didn't care for it, and the cat that did try to eat it had an allergic reaction, so we stopped buying it. That is more expensive if our dog liked it more and we could keep the cat from getting into it we would have dealt with the cost, but it just doesn't work for us.
Our two cats LOVE the Iams dog food as well. We feed them Iams Proactive chicken flavor cat food, but when I fill the dog dish, they will run to it and try to eat as much as they can before the dog gets to it. I think it is a good product for a decent price.
