Have used both however this is a superior product. NLS leads to a messy tank and a canister filter, in cleaning that looks like you have a mud substrate.
Dainichi gives consistent colors, active robust tropheus. NLS gives coloration but the consistency varies with batches and oh my what a messy tank.
I'm unto Dainichi and off the NLS bandwagon. Cheap it is and probably good for fish farmers or breeders but not necessarily for hobbyists with a show tank.
