Professional Dry Food for Adult Cats, Light Cat Hairball Control
My 13 year old male cat had a lot of problems with hairballs and vomiting. We had tried several foods (including those specifically for hairballs) and none of them helped. Since he started eating this food about a year ago, things have been greatly improved. It's only very rare that he will vomit or have hairball issues anymore. Also, his coat is shiny and he seems to love the taste! I definitely recommend this food.
IAMS Active Maturity Hairball Proactive Health Care Dry Cat Food
We have an 18 year old Siamese that has had hairball issues her whole life. We have tried every suggestion our vet has made, invested in most of the hairball products out there. Prior to the IAMS Adult Hairball Care, we used the regular IAMS hairball formula. It did the job, but this new Proactive Health Adult formula appears to work more gently, therefore, she seems to be more comfortable and the throwing up hairballs has stopped almost entirely. It is also interesting to find out that when given a couple dry foods, side by side, that she will always go to this one. We have fed our cat this product since it made an appearance in our area a few months ago and the convenience of getting it through Amazon is a bonus!!
Whole Life Pet Products Pure Meat All Natural Freeze Dried Cod
We have an older female indoor cat very picky eater. She went mad nutz with her first whiff of this. She absolutely loves the cod (not so keen on the other flavors). It's a bit pricey, but as a healthy treat we find it's worth it. She truly loves eating this product not something we can say for any other products made for cats. We found it helpful to cut the pieces down to smaller "bit" sizes. We too noticed that with the latest shipment, she didn't seem especially excited at first. We didn't push it, and after a week or so, she began to eat it but with none of the frenzy passion she showed the first time we gave this to her. Can't really explain why she seemed less excited the product had the same appearance and smell. We'll probably order again just to see the reaction. If she gives us the "I can take it or leave it look" we probably won't order again. It's odd how several of us have animals who reacted in the same fashion.
Weruva Mideast Feast with Grilled Tilapia Canned Cat Food
Weruva has made outstanding foods in the past, and my cats have voted for Mideast Feast in the past with all paws up. In the past year, however, Weruva has placed more potato filler in the product to reduce its costs, despite raising the price to consumers along the way, which is a no-win way to maintain market share.
The quality of the fish is still great, and it still smells great when you open the can, and the cats still seem to like the food, but not quite as much as before because of all the potato Weruva has now tried to 'hide' in the gravy to reduce the amount of fish they have to put in the can. C'mon Weruva, we're not stupid! Take the doggone potato back out of your product, put the good fish back in, and raise the price to where it needs to be to cover your cost. Those of us who care about our cats will gladly pay you for a quality product. Ship us a continuing cheapened product, and we'll drop your brand as customers. That's not rocket science we can still see the potato at the bottom of the can that you squirt in before the fish is added to the top of the can.
As such, I've knocked two stars off my rating, for a stupid corporate decision here. Then there's the other trick of adding more water to the Paw Lickin' Chicken and Mediterranean Harvest's 'new' recipes. How clever is that?!?

I've ordered via Amazon twice now and the bird food is great. Unable to find Sunflower seed-free bird food any place else. It frustrates me, though, that the packaging isn't the best for being shipped to individual customers, such as via Amazon. Each time the bag has broken during transit. It needs a different type of packaging for transit. But, the bird food is great.....

I bought this dog food because the bag showed pictured of veggies and chunks of meat, and with a name like "Beneful" I thought I was purchasing a nutritious brand of dog food. My dogs did eat this food, but after reading the ingredients I completely regret purchasing it and feel just awful for feeding it to my dogs. The first three ingredients are Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, and corn gluten meal. How disgusting is that?! The main ingredient is a corn filler. One thing my vet told me a while back that I never forgot: "When you eat corn, what comes out of the other end? The same thing happens with dogs." Basically, dogs cannot digest corn, it is just a filler and causes them to actually eat more to feel full, poop out more, and retain less nutrients. The only meat in Beneful at all is a by-product, its not even a real meat! By-products are the stuff leftover once all the actual meat is harvested. We're talking beaks, chicken feet, eyeballs, even chicken poop! I would not recommend this product to anyone, for any reason, ever. It is an absolutely awful dog food. I can't believe the pictures of veggies and full chunks of meat on the bag can be allowed to be on the packaging of such a disgusting product; it is very misleading and should be considered false advertising.
I recommend to stay far away from Beneful, and most Purina products. When purchasing a dog (or cat) food, the most important thing to consider is the first 3 ingredients; just make sure those first three are decent ingredients that you would eat yourself. Now that I know what to look for, I usually buy my pets all natural, organic foods such as Blue Buffalo, Halo or Wellness.
