When I adopted my cat Fiona named by them-at a nearby animal care and control facility, they told me that she loved meat. Am so glad they did, because this very pretty little creature is apparently half-feral, and after six years here, still very skittish, and half neurotically afraid of my husband and me. In the first couple of months we had her, she ran away a half-dozen times, and was once gone for two weeks before we found her. But she does love meat, thank goodness. We think she has decided to stay with us because she loves meat, Treats, our other, male cat, catnip. And warm, soft places.
But, with time, I have discovered that she actually likes gravy better than meat, and found this product. And actually, she will eat several more varieties of this product than just these; I buy them all. Anyway, some days, she will eat the meat in her dish, some days not, but she always slurps up the gravy. She's still a small creature, eats only half a can a day. When I take the second half of a can out of the refrigerator the next day, I simply dunk it in room temperature water for a while to warm it; might add a little bit of water, and a little bit of salt to it to punch it up after its night in the cold.
We have developed a little morning ritual around her meal. She wants her breakfast; will actually get quite close to me, even touch me, will let me touch her for a second or two. It's the highlight of our day.
