I have been using this product for over 1 year now and have deliberately waited this long to write a review. I, like many of you I'm sure, think of my dog as a family member/my child. I wanted to make sure I fully trusted this product before recommending it to others. Thankfully, I can now do that.
I have a 3 year old Coton de Tulear (like a Bichon, if you don't know what a Coton is). Between the ages of 1 and 2 she had a very sensitive digestive system --frequent bouts of runny stools and vomiting on occasion. One time, a little over a year ago, she had an extremely bad case of vomiting where she would vomit frequently throughout the day for about 3 days. Even on a vet recommended bland diet of boiled chicken and plain rice she was not doing well keeping her food down. She ended up staying two nights in the pet emergency clinic and had various tests including an ultrasound done. The vet reported that her pancreas was very inflamed, and along with some blood work diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis. I got the feeling that the vet was not 100% certain of this diagnosis, but that's just personal opinion.
She was put on a low fat / lower protein diet (Low Fat Innova Adult, if you're wondering) and after a round of medication seemed to be doing better but still not 100% . The vet then recommended some homeopathic routes, including putting her on probiotics. I found this product online and decided that I should try it out.
Ever since she has been on it, she has not had any more runny stools or vomiting bouts (knock on wood!!!). Obviously it would not be prudent of me to declare that this product cured my dog of all her ailments, but it certainly seemed to have helped tremendously. I wouldn't want to advertise this product as some miracle product, but then again nowadays I wouldn't miss a day without giving it to my dog.
I will note that, similar to other reviewers, I found that when I gave my dog the recommended dosage for her weight her stools became very firm and she seemed to strain more when going. I lessened the dose each day and she seems to be "happier" during going. Stools look good. Seriously, they should be on display at the vets office. Gross, but it's amazing how much info about your dog's health you can get from looking at their stools.
In conclusion I highly, highly recommend anyone to try this product if their dog seems to be having digestive issues and prescribed medications and food changes don't work (or, you just want to try it first before going the medication route). Best of luck with your pets!
