I love this cat food! Well, my cats love it more, but I love it because it's easy to dish out to my two kitties and they always gobble it up! After we had quite a scare with a very painful UTI we immediately STOPPED FEEDING DRY FOOD and switched to canned. As I've learned the underlying cause for most UTI's is lack of water in a cat's diet. Feeding canned food, any canned food, is better for a cat than the most expensive dry food on the market. If you care about your cats health, please check out catinfo.org

Two months after changing to canned and adding a TBS of warm water to one feeding a day my 11 year old female hasn't had a single issue! According to the article I read on catinfo.org cats are not thirst driven like a dog, meaning they wont just go lap up a bunch of water even though their systems need it. Being carnivores by nature their little bodies are programmed to get their liquid from the little critters they eatmice, birds etc. It all clicked, it just made sense to me which is why I'm passing it on to you the reader. Our furry friends cant talk but I think if they could they'd prefer canned food. As a side note the fish based canned food like the tuna or salmon and such are much higher in bone meal (they don't de-bone the fish) all the phosphorus in the bones has been shown to irritate the lining of the bladder. So while kitties love fish it can cause painful problems down the line.

In two weeks we had been to the emergency vet a total of 3 times. It seemed our kitty only had her issues at 3am on a Saturday night so things were getting quite pricey as you can imagine. The treatment for her was always subcutaneous fluids to treat dehydration (thanks to the dry food) and pain medication (to ease the irritation of her bladder). Then they'd send her home, NEVER asking about her diet! After two weeks of this I found that wonderful site, catinfo.org and I'm so happy I did. There is even a chart which lists all the most common canned cat foods by the amount of liquid they contain and well it's just very helpful.

I have two adult cats, a boy and a girl both are "altered" so no kittens ha ha...they get fed breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack. Each meal consists of a quarter of a can of the Turkey & Giblets Dinner, sometimes as a treat I give them cooked plain ground turkey. As I mentioned before, one meal a day for my female includes a table spoon of warm water mixed with her quarter of a can of canned food. As an added bonus of switching to canned food my male cat is starting to shed a little weight which he's been struggling with most of his lifethis is probably because he's not over eating with dry food.
