this food is great my dog has been on it his whole entire life since his breeder put him on it. but the only downfall is, getting a moldy bag. chicken soup uses everything fresh and if its not cooked all the way and packaged a little big undercooked taa-da moldy bag of food. well i was out of the area and my pup ran out of food. so i called chicken soup, they advised me that the closest dealer was 30 miles away...ok drove there got the bag went home, opened it up, all moldy and smelly. had to drive back get another bag. of course i opened it up before i went home and it was fine. the company is great very willing to make you happy. i called the company let them know i got a bad bag of food. they sent me a 40 dollar check for another free bag. so later that night about five minutes away from my house i went to a pet shop ive never been to. well they had the food. ugh i was so mad called the company again, told them your selling food here and its not listed blah blah told them my story. but even if the date is fine you may want to open the bag at the store to see if the food is fresh.

My cats like this brand but don't care much for this flavor. They eat the shrimp and leave most of the rest. It's kind of dry. They were more willing to eat it after I mixed some water into it. It has a very strong odor to it as well. We made it through the case, but won't order again.

Wysong Vegan Dog and Cat Food Case, 16-Pound

I raised my dog vegan and was feeding her the Wysong Vegan. Further research and I discovered that NOT ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN THIS PRODUCT ARE VEGAN. I forget the specifics, but I think the D3 comes from fish. When I contacted the company, at times I was given the runaround but then, incredulously, I found out that they had patented the name "Vegan" and were not actually claiming that the product was vegan! This is exactly the same as patenting the name "100% Beef Burger" for a burger that is 50% beef and 50% chicken feathers. I found this completely unethical and was able, after some work, to return the multiple bags of product I had purchased.

I use VegeDog powder that you add to your own home-prepared meals for your best friend. Another possible alternative that I use with my dog is Petguard Organic Vegetarian, which is NOT 100% vegan (it contains organic dried eggs) but is 95% organic, which I think is great, as who wants to overload your dog with pesticides? Evolution seemed okay but then I found random pieces of "other" kibble in the bag and was told that they share facilities and can't guarantee there's no other dog food in their product. I've tried Natural Balance Vegetarian Formula but that didn't work too well for her. I just received Halo Vegan Garden Medley and haven't tried it yet. Canned food is much more expensive but my girl really likes Petguard Organics Organic Vegetarian Entree which IS vegan. There was one good vegan canned dog food but it was about $3.29 a can and I wasn't sure I was ready to spend $200 a month on dog food when I can probably prepare it myself cheaper. I question feeding not only our dogs but ourselves GMO foods and corn and soy are the top offenders here. I just ordered a kibble called V-Dog to try that says they are vegan and don't have GMOs, corn or soy.

My dogs LOVE the Yummy Chummies and we've been giving them to all three since they were puppies (our oldest is now 5). We normally buy them at COSTCO but they were out for two months, so I ordered them at Amazon. Quite a mark up guys! I pay $9.39 for a 2.5 lb bag at Costco and $25.00 at Amazon!! Today, Costco carried them again, so I stocked up. They are excellent treats and my dogs are worth it, but come on guys, THAT much of a markup?? Yikes!

When I received these, I found that they contained wheat gluten, even though it does not show up on the ingredient list here at Amazon.com. I called the manufacturer, and they claimed that they do not source their wheat gluten from China any more, and that it is perfectly safe. Maybe.....but I would have liked to know that it was in the kitten food before I purchased it.

I've nicknamed this supplement "The Perfect Poop", and occasionally, "Magic Poopy Powder" because it does just that for my dogs... helps them stay regular even while traveling/under stress or if they've indulged in something outside of their normal diet. They love the taste when I mix it with some warm water and pour it over their food and it has helped me to never have a repeat of the infamous "Poopapocalyse of 2012"... which makes this product worth it's weight in gold 100x over. This IS a quality dog food. It's high in protein and has a variety of ingredients, none of which caused me to say "what in the world is that?". Unfortunately for me, though, it turns out that my puppy has sensitivity to gluten, and Barley is the 3rd ingredient listed for this food. I'd recommend this food for someone who wants a high-quality food for their puppy, but doesn't need grain-free. If your dog gets incredibly gassy and has strong smelling, soft poop or loose stools when eating this, I'd suggest switching to completely gluten-free dog food.

Be careful and make sure you read the entire label before using, including the expiration date. I have used this product before so started using it right when it came to feed my new babies. I did know you have to be careful in mixing and feeding because there tend to be little clumps that can block your syringe and if you push to hard to dislodge it, you could put too much pressure into the baby's mouth. I always immediately stop feeding and dislodge the clog away from the baby before trying to apply pressure while feeding. They are nearly weaned now, so I was just checking to see if it would be good enough for my next clutch. I was appalled when I checked the expiration date and saw that it had expired long before I received it!

Luckily, no harm was done to my babies. This is the last time I order anything for my birds from Amazon.

My sweet pug puppy who can't get enough chewing loves these. They are recommended over rawhide, and seem to last pretty well. They are supposedly easily digested...so better than rawhide. It took him hours to really get a dent in them too. It comes with quite a few decent sized ears. They are also made in the USA so I heard that is safer for pet products.
