I didn't buy this through Amazon the first time, but found it in the local organic store. Now I'm about to purchase this again because I'm so happy with it. It works great, it makes my dog's breath smell just disappear. She's young, so does not have a lot of plaque to zap, so I give it to her once or twice a week. The effects linger for a few days. It contains naturally occurring enzymes that break down the plaque where the smell-producing bacteria are, and works a treat. And the dog seems to prefer her water with this in it. I think she likes having cleaner teeth too!
The review about it only being active for 8 hours misunderstood what that meant. It doesn't keep the dog's breath fresh for only 8 hours, but rather the ingredients are active in the water for 8 hours. So if your dog doesn't drink all the treated water in their dish within 8 hours, the remaining water won't freshen their breath. I find that moot, since as I mentioned, the effects last a while once you've made good inroads on the plaque. Also my dog drains her water dish at least twice a day.
It's good stuff, I reccommend it!
