Royal Canin Feline Renal LP Modified Cat Food 24/6 oz Cans
My 16 year old cat has early stages renal disease and I opted to cook for him since he refuses to eat the old k/d brand which is like wet sawdust. He also has thyroid problems so appetite is high but he looks insulted if offered that stuff which he finds revolting. I hoped for an alternative. Our vet just gave a couple of cans to try and to my shock he loved it and even purred and seemed in high spirits after as he is after any great satisfying meal. I am thrilled. Texture is very creamy, moist and easy to stir/fluff. There are no pieces so the '10 review may have helped fix lumps. The smell is like any natural premium food without fillers more gamey and stronger, bit like cooked liver. It does not bother me because I see that the little convalescing carnivore is satisfied with a real meal. He thinks he scored something special and I get another option for his rotation.
