Hill's Prescription Diet Feline Metabolic Advanced Weight
My cats are big; a Maine Coon and a Pixiebob. Feeding the recommended amount (7/8 cup each per day), the midsized bag would last three weeks. They were always hungry. Having two 17 pound cats constantly under foot in the kitchen is awful. My PB lost about a pound in three months, the MC only 6 ounces. For the price and all the fillers on the ingredients list (corn is the second ingredient), with also needing to plan around stopping at the vet to buy it, I decided to switch them to a grain free food with higher protein and fat. After all, it's grain that makes them fat, not fat, and cats don't need grain. I expect them to benefit from their grain free diet, and I'm happier with the less expensive price tag with more bang for the buck (7.5 pounds more per bag at 9$ less).
