I chose this bowl because it was cute and dishwasher-safe.
I have two cats, and I feed them a primarily wet (canned) diet, so this is exactly the kind of bowl I was looking for. It's very shallow, so the cats' whiskers don't touch the rim ever (I hear some cats hate that, but mine certainly haven't seemed to mind). It's also flatter than I thought, which is good for me because it can fit in the plate-slots of my dishwasher, so I don't ever have that problem where the bowl is too big for the plate slots but if you put it sideways it takes up a huge amount of space and you can't fit anything else so your dishwasher ends up half-full instead of totally full, just because of this one poorly sized dish. Jeeze, that was really long-winded. The point is, this bowl does not cause that problem because it is not very tall/deep.
The other review mentioned that his/her cats pushed all their food off the bowl I think this largely depends on your particular cats and how they eat. My cats have not had this problem at all! They don't love this bowl any more than any other bowl to them it's just the thing their food sits in bu this is my favorite bowl because it's so easy to clean and it looks great.
(I have two of these one for each cat. I might get two more!)
