I've ordered many many brands of canned cat food on my quest for finding the best balance between cost, nutrition, safety and of course taste. That said this cat food has been the absolute worst, it's a dark grey blob in the can that almost has a silvery quality to it, surrounded by a disturbing thick grey liquid. The can is also hard to get open, the lid is made from super thick aluminum and when you get it halfway off it becomes hard to finish and you have to really apply force, which causes a jerk when it finally opens and I've come close to cutting myself several times doing this.
Anyway, I normally do not discount a food based on appearance, as we all know big pet food usually tries to dress up our pets food with additives and colors to be more appealing to us, but our babies could care less what their food looks like. Anyway, I have 4 indoor kitties and none of them would touch this stuff, not even Loki, my "garbage disposal" male tabby who will usually eat anything you put in front of him.
Oh well I thought, I'll give it to the strays I care for, of which there are 8 that come around that I feed dry food and lower quality Friskies canned food (sadly I can't afford to feed them all high quality) even the strays wouldn't touch it, they all sniffed it and shook their head and walked off. I took the remaining cans to the local shelter and I hope they can manage to use them.
