My cats long ago adopted Nature's Variety Instinct rabbit as their favorite wet food.

Once I learned that the rabbit was sourced from China, I couldn't buy it any longer.

Not particularly "Buy American All The Time", but primarily because I don't trust items from China that are for consumption, or come in contact with food preparation or any other means of ingestion. Too worried about chemicals, things in their that aren't supposed to be, regardless of what the contract specifies.

I wrote my letter of concern to Nature's Variety, and stuck with the other flavors that were USA sourced.

Nature's Variety has brought the bunnies home (they're cute, and tasty, too!). And my cats are jumping and hopping in happiness.

The 'old' formulas (all flavors) were the thick pate style. The Pride formulas have little bits of the meat, and little bits of veggies, and gravy. My cats are loving the rabbit and tuna, duck and lamb on occasion. Haven't tried other flavors yet.

The whole "Instinct" line is morphing into Pride.

For me, the marketing is really goofy, and almost a turn-off.

FIRST: There are two styles of each flavor "slivers" and "minced". Well, from my eyes, I don't see much difference. Certainly not enough to warrant separate packaging and marketing. I'll keep reading the labels to see if there is any difference in "recipe". The nutritional numbers are the same.

If I find anything further I'll update this review.

SECOND: they've introduced a cat personality for each flavor and each flavor style. Like I'm really supposed to remember that "Rity's Rabbit" is the minced and "Rockstar Rabbit" is the slivers? And what I'm only supposed to feed lamb for my adventurous cat? The marketing and product names are goofy, not helpful. Sell the product because it's quality food and completion for my cats.

I like the products. Really glad the bunnies are back. Product ingredients seem high quality, desired ingredients. Nutrition numbers look good. I'll continue to purchase, until the cats tell me to change.
