I have two cats. One seems to do fine on just about any food, but the other one is, well, fat and crazy for lack of a better term.
I noticed that higher quality foods seemed to make his coat and his moods a bit softer. After doing some research and reading every bag of food at the pet store, I decided to give this a try and I got the salmon specifically because it has more omega 3's in addition to good stuff the other flavors have.
ITS BEEN A MIRACLE! My crazy cat is so sweet now. He plays a lot with his brother instead of lying around all day and he snuggles the whole family all of the time. He's a changed cat... the kitten I fell in love with. Also, his coat is much fuller and softer and he has lost weight and gained muscle. He is healthy and happy now. :)
BTW, when money was tight, I tried going back to a cheaper food and his old problems came back. He gained a weight, his fur got coarse, and he would full-on attack me about once a week. After changing back to this food AGAIN he is back to his sweet healthy self.
