I have made every effort to NOT buy/feed anything made in China to my pet. I researched these duck/sweet potato treats before finally deciding to buy them. Nowhere on the amazon product page does it tell you where these treats are made, so I searched for the Smokehouse website which claimed that ONLY some of their CHICKEN treats contained chicken from China, but all other products are made in the USA. So, I felt safe in purchasing these duck/sweet potato treats. After opening a bag, and giving them to my dog did I glance at the product origin. Needless to say my dog likes them very much, but I was NOT happy to find PRODUCT OF CHINA on the bag.

Boo hiss to amazon for not putting the product origin on the product page, and to Smokehouse for misleading consumers on their product information website. Why do they do this, because there are customers just like me that care where the product originates. Many of you may not be concerned about this, but I am, and I think it's very misleading not to provide accurate, and complete information about the product when purchasing from an internet store. At least the product doesn't smell like plastic like the Dingo products.

I won't be purchasing these again. My dog seemed to like them, but she won't be getting anymore of them. I took a star off due to the lack of complete information from amazon, and misleading information from Smokehouse.

UPDATE: Big thumbs up to amazon for great customer service. When I called to return this item they were very helpful in processing a refund, and because it is considered a grocery item I didn't even have to return the items. I had also purchased the Smokehouse duck chips, but they too are made in China. I suggested the addition of the country of origin to both product pages. Just another reason why I don't hesitate to purchase from amazon. They truly have great customer service....rare these days.

The product is awesome. I have had super luck with no upset stomachs. I have been feeding Solid Gold dry and canned for 4 months and am very happy with the product.

However, Petco is charging a ridicules price for what they are sending. Their ads are very deceiving. Notice they don't bother to tell you they are selling the smallest can possible. I just paid 1.45 a can for the tiny can. You can purchase the large can from Pet Supply Plus for about 128.00. I am so tired of this type of actions going on at Amazon.

As far as Solid Gold, I love the product. As far as Petco, never again will I buy from them. Since I am rating the product and NOT the seller, I am giving a 5 star.

My cats love the Instinct Raw Boost line! I'm so glad they added more than just Chicken and Duck! Finally my cats can enjoy another type of protein. My cats loved the Lamb just as much, and we will be trying the Salmon next. My cats also really enjoy the regular Instinct Turkey (LID), so I hope they bring out a Turkey raw boost formula soon. I wish they had a Beef formula for cats, because mine enjoy the freeze dried raw beef treats. Any of the raw boost kibbles are a great addition I love that my pets are getting some raw in their daily diet without the hassle. The grain free food is great, and my cats have loved every Instinct kibble except the Rabbit. It has really been great to find a pet food company with such high quality food, and so many choices! So many companies have many choices for dogs, but not as many for cats.

Bender Oak and I owned an older style backpack from Outward Hound, and while we loved it, we wore that thing out!

This new pack is totally redesigned from the old model, and there's a bunch of features I really, really dig!

It's got several different points where you can adjust it for size, and considering Bender is a uniquely shaped "mutt", I can tighten the back strap just right, and give him enough room in the front for his longer chest!

The saddle bags on the side are huge! Each bag can hold at least 2 regular size water bottles, with plenty of extra room. For giggles, I loaded up one pocket with two water bottles, a roll of poopie bags, a tiny sample package of treats, and a package of soft kibble! Just one one side! The cool thing about these bags is while they are much larger than previous packs, the bags are a much lower profile compared to other brand packs!

The saddle bags/pockets are removeable, which is awesome. I take them off, and there's a sturdy yet lightweight harness that I put on Bender. Once Bender and I are done playing "Hey Mom let me help you put the harness on by putting my paws in your face!", I just put the pack part over top the harness, and a velcro/snap system holds it in place!

I love love the zippers and color of the pack. The materials used (cloth, straps, zippers) are high quality, and something I'd expect a serious Human backpack to be made out of. Everything just feels, well, secure! The bright blue color helps me feel safe, because it helps Bender stay visible. He's a Black and Tan mix, and I don't ever want someone mistaking him for wildlife, or worse, not seeing him at all!

The top of this pack has a handle, and I have had to use it. Bender and I went for a walk in the fields near our house. We were surprised by a sudden/random Thunderstorm, which scared Bender. He's got more common sense than I and was afraid to be the tallest object out in an open field. We started to head back to the house, but all the Thunder kinda got to him. In a Pinch I had to lift him up a couple times to encourage him to get home. We have to cross a small culvert to get back to our house, and with all the weather going on, I simply used the handle and helped Ben across the culvert. Bender weighs 81 pounds. I don't suggest carrying your dog via the cool handle, but in a pinch, it works for emergency situations!

If I were to say I wanted one improvement, it would be a little bit of strap protection on the last strap (in the back) to prevent chafing. The only reason I say this is because Bender is thin-haired on his belly, and I'm concerned that our big hike later on this summer he might get some chafing. But considering we've already taken this pack out three times now, and we've had no trouble, I'm confident that we should be okay. Just in case, an after-market hiking comfort strap cushion (available on Amazon and hiking outlets) fits onto these straps. Again, a bonus, the straps are standard size like Human hiking gear!

Overall, we're really happy with this pack, and it's definitely going to help us this year when we go hiking in Western North Carolina!

I used this an alternative to a hydrolyzed soy diet when my boxer required hypoallergenic food. It did not agree with him, and gave him the runs the whole 6 weeks that he ate it. He also didn't care for the food, but I think it was because it upset his stomach. On the other hand, my cat ate out of the dog bowl for 6 weeks! She thought it was fantastic, and she's a bit picky. My yorkie ate it, but he eats anything. Neither my cat or yorkie had stomach upset.

Bottom line, it's a great quality food, just not right for us.

I'm buying over $25.00 per month on subscription, but that doesn't seem to count for me to be able to buy this product at a decent price. It's $5.15 at the pet food store including tax.

My cat loves this treat so much I have to lock it away in the pantry. I put it in a drawer and he figured out how to open the drawer and get it.

By the way, it's 0.75 ounces, not 75 ounces. (It's freeze-dried, so that's actually much more by volume than it sounds like)

I purchased Purina One after a recommendation from my Vet. My 15 week old miniature longhaired dachshund was not eating enough and she suggested I switch her food from The Purina Puppy Chow that the breeder had been feeding her to Purina One because it is a better formula. She advised that I make a gradual switch by mixing in some of the Purina One with the Purina Puppy Chow because puppy's digestive systems are sensitive. My dog immediately liked Purina One and I haven't had a problem with getting her to eat since.

The three Nutro MaxCat Kitten Food cans are on our Vet's recommended nutritiion list for kittens thru one year. Our 4-month old kitten has gained weight nicely even while being extremely active. My 2 indoor cats love this food. I feel good giving it to them. We have been feeding Blue Buffalo products since they came out and have never looked back. My cats have such shiny fur it almost sparkles; if they are in a sun patch, it does. They never have the nasty teeth full of tartar you come to expect. So maybe you pay more for the food, but the cats are healthier overall, and we don't have those expensive invasive dental visits. Since this food is almost completely used by the body, stools are smaller. We had one cat with mega colon, and this food enabled us to drastically reduce her medication.

All in all, great product, good for kitties, IMHO.
