I have a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier, and never received a warning about Yorkie teeth by the vets. He also had a bad reaction to Anesthesia at age one year, almost died, so I swore to never put him under again. He got very sick at age 3 and I had no idea why. It was severe periodontal disease, getting to his other organs with bloody vomit and diarrhea. I had to figure out myself what was going on and then started brushing his teeth and changed his diet. I think I have tried every dental product out there for dogs at this point. He is now 13.

Periodontal disease is progressive, even with professional cleanings. By brushing his teeth daily, changing his diet and a host of other products, I've managed to keep it at bay and he has most of his teeth. He's overall very healthy, alert, active, no vomiting, diarrhea bouts now. Officially he still has periodontal disease for once they get it, it doesn't "go away".

I received two sample packets of PSCPets Dental Probiotics. I tried it and after 30 days, noticed the tarter I could not get off his teeth by other means was coming off. The biggest thing is the smell was gone. Dog breath isn't normal, it's periodontal disease, a warning sign something's wrong.

I bought a jar of this stuff and it's amazing, tarter that has not come off in 10 years is coming off. More importantly, the nasty smell associated with periodontal disease is gone now all the the time. That's HUGE for it means the actual bacteria of the disease is being kept in check by this product and to date I cannot say that about anything else I've tried.

The list of dog dental products, food, vitamins and supplements I've tried is too long to list. This review to let other dog owners know PCSPETS Dental Probiotics actually works and they should try it. You'll need to give it a whirl for 30 days at least though.

I also brush my dog's teeth with an Oral-B electric toothbrush, floss action head, and petrodex dog toothpaste. Brushing the dog's teeth is the most effective thing one can do, at least every other day, to keep periodontal disease at bay. High quality dog food and supplements are also effective but brushing the dog's teeth is a must.
