I have a middle aged orange tabby who since about age 2 has had such horrible shedding and dry itchy skin problems, he would actually pull mouthfulls of fur out and spit them on the floor! Hairball hacking was a weekly occurrance, and heaven help you if you were wearing black or he decided to nap on your bed!
I had tried all kinds of expensive food, including a fish/sweet potato variety that helped a LITTLE. This one, recommended by small local shop owner, has completely stopped the excess shedding in ONE WEEK!
The downside is it's a bit rich for his tummy and he has some loose stool issues, but nothing major, i.e. he's not going more frequently. I am going to assume he'll adjust. The only other note is that this is also high protein/calorie enough for KITTENS, so I'm watching the cat gain a little weight already. Might need to put him on a schedule.
Still, the *amazing* improvement in the feel of my cat's fur and the massive reduction in shedding warrants this 5 stars.
