I was very skeptical of these dishes, but after purchasing the wet food dish, I knew I had to get another for my cat's dry food. However with the dry she usually just picks up some in her mouth and puts it on the floor to eat, thus rendering the dish useless, and making more of a mess than with a low bowl. The dry was even slapchopped into smaller pieces that toothless-she could eat. I use it now for water though, and it's a great, comfortable height for her old joints.
