I think this product is a very good idea but unfortunately it doesn't work for my cat.
Based on bowl size descriptions and the product being labeled as appropriate for cats, I first ordered a small bowl. When I received it, I found that the three inside "apexes" -which is what the product description calls them -were very tall, so the food sits very low in relation to them. This prevented my average-size cat (12 lbs.) from actually being able to get her mouth down to the bottom of the bowl to get to the food.
So I returned the small bowl and ordered a medium, thinking for sure it would be a good fit. Unfortunately, no. Although the bowl itself is bigger, the "apexes" are also increased in height proportionally. So my average-size cat still cannot get her mouth down to the bottom of the bowl to get the food. I watched her struggle to eat for several minutes, trying to get her mouth to the bottom of the bowl, then even trying to use her paw to fish the food out, before giving up.
Even though these bowls are advertised for feline use, I don't believe they are appropriate for cats. I think the bowls would probably work fine for dogs, because a dog has a very long tongue that could reach the bottom of the bowl. But based on the small and medium bowls, I cannot imagine any normal-sized cat being able to use this. A kitten's head would probably be small enough to fit around the apexes and reach the food at the bottom of the bowl, but an average-sized adult cat? No way.
Maybe a large bowl would work. I don't know. I'm not going to order a third one to try it out.
