Greenies Lite Dental Treats Teenie Size

I purchased these dental treats in the past. My dog loves them. I give him one a day after he has his food and does his duty outdoors. They really help to keep the tartar from forming on his teeth and after checking the ingredients, there is nothing in them that will upset his stomach or cause diarrhea. The lite formula helps to keep him from putting on too much weight and they contain only 4% fat. I would highly recommend them to other dog owners. I would venture to say their dogs will love them too!

My daughter bought this for her hamster. The animal seems to love it, although she did take some time getting used to the wheel. Which brings me to the "woes". Once she started using it she used it for more than exercise, if you get my drift. Thankfully the tray underneath catches everything. However, when it comes time to clean the wheel and tray it requires my husband or myself to take it apart (after it's been removed from the cage) so the inside can be cleaned. It snaps back together easily enough but getting the sides separated is a real pain. Other than that and the fact that it doesn't really glow in the dark (at least not very brightly), it's a pretty good cage.

I've had this item for about a year. If you get this itme use a covered litter box inside it unless you are absolutely certain your cat will never miss the box. The material the bottom is made of is not waterproof and will bubble, expand, and hold odor if it gets wet. I also recommend lining it with plastic contact paper before the first use to ensure it lasts longer. Other than that it is a good product that conceals litter boxes well

9Lives Prime Entre with Real Chicken, Lamb and Rice Canned Cat

9 Lives Cat Food is one Meal my Cats really like and enjoy eating it. Entre with Real Chicken, Lamb and Rice, one of the many Flavors that is Good for them and I get it Locally. 100% Completed and Balanced Nutrition with all kinds of Vitamins, Nutrients and Minerals all supposed to be Good for Cats. They enjoy eating it maybe twice a week. My Cats are a little Finicky so I have to try different Flavors and Brands all the time. I can get several Meals out of each Can of Food, they don't eat a lot at one time, they are Nibblers and they prefer to eat many little Meals. I have tried to give them other more expensive Cat Food from Popular "Specialty Pet Shops" or other "Food Boutiques" for Pets, however, they don't want any of that, they Crave and like to eat 9 Lives. I am glad there are such Diversity of Flavors to make my Cats Happy and to choose from. I even Feed 9 Lives to several Cats outside and they Love It! ...Thank You D.D.

Purina Cat Chow Naturals, 3.15-Pounds (Pack of 3)

My cat loves this food. I love this food for her. I have checked the ingredients against all the other cat foods and it is superior or the same to the best.
The other great thing and this must be a testament to the product, is that she does not throw up. When I occasionally have to switch brands, like to a generic or cheaper brand, or something on sale, I feel awful, because I know it is going to upset her stomach; and, I am going to be cleaning up something, somewhere but mostly, I feel awful because she is not getting nutrition if she is vomiting and she is not her super happy self.
My cat is almost 7 and she is healthy. She has complete access to inside outside whenever she wants (as long as I am home), and she is a good hunter, although she does not eat her catch, she simply brings "it" into the house, into the bedroom and that then sends me flying for the broom, and out goes the cat and out goes the little creature! It's our game and I think she really enjoys hearing me scream and seeing me so animated. That said, she will eat little minnows that wash up on the boat dock. That dock is her snack counter at high tide. I ask her, "Why do I buy you cat food, when you eat those yucky fish"? She just meow's at me like I am stupid.
So if yucky little fish, sometimes dead for hours, don't make her throw up, but most at food does, and Cat Naturals she not only loves but keeps down, I have come to the conclusion that the food with the colored pieces is what makes her sick that is what she has thrown-up consistently.
Even if my cat were not the indoor/outdoor animal that she is, I would still feed her the Cat Naturals. As far as the cost goes, it is a little more expensive in price than some of the other brands, but still competitive, and seeing that she is a joy to have around and ridiculously healthy, I will not give her another dry cat food. I don't want a few dollars to be the difference to her health or cat happiness. So, to stabilize the price I have signed up for Amazon, subscription renewal service and I now have the best price! and stable price! of the best cat food, and I no longer have to worry about running out and having her suffer through even a day or two of an inferior quality food.
Last Note: The first time I tried the subscription they said it would be like a month on back order so I canceled, telling them I could not wait that long, but the next month, this month I tried again and the food was sent right away, expertly packed, so we are all set!

Imperial Cat Snack and Treats, Tuna Dash, 1-Ounce
Posted by
Unknown
While in a pet shop, and new to cats, the owner suggested I try this Tuna Dash product. So I bought some. One night the cat food was not what the cats wanted, so to encourage their eating I added some of this product to their food, just on top to get them started, and they ate their food. This was my way of discouraging "finnicky" eating. It worked. I would use it off and on as needed, and most of the time I forgot I had it because it was not needed. But oh when it was needed, what a help! When might it be needed? After vaccinations, for example, when they were mad at me for that vet trip. Or, once in a while one of them would go off feed, probably from eating a mouse or something, and I would let them fast a day and then reencourage them back to regular food with the help of Tuna Dash. I like the product, and glad I found it here as the pet store went out of business.

Dog & Cat Wheatgrass Growing Kit for Pet - Dogs Cats & Pets Love
Posted by

I was very apprehensive about growing this wheat grass as it seemed quite complicated. My intention was to grow the grass for my cats and dog. I must say, I followed the directions implicitly and within one week the grass was tall enough to present to my animals!! Today was the day and the cats seem to be eating it. My dog doesn't seem interest----yet. The kit includes everything you need with five growing pans. I'm very happy with this product.

Loving Pets No-Tip with Etched Lines Bowl for Dogs and Cats

Bought this to replace a deeper dish that often stymied our toothless dachsund, who had difficulty tonguing up the food at the bottom. This little bowl did the trick. Well made, cleans easily, and is modestly skid-resistent. I'd buy it again.

I have two cats--a ten year old that's been diagnosed with CRF, and a four year old. I feed them 1/4 tsp in their wet food everyday. I used to have to clean up barf on a regular basis. Not only are both cats regular, but the barfing is now very infrequent. My ten year old had a bout of colitis which took months of medication to treat. The probiotics in this formula are keeping his bowels healthy. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary SO Moderate Calorie
Posted by
Unknown
I made the "rookie mistake" of giving my cat some Dollar store cat treats and it caused him to develop urinary stones for the first time in his life. Big mistake, especially from someone who was raised by a vet mom and who lived above a vet clinic for 2 years as a child.
After some major emergency expenses and antibiotics, my cat got better. My mom then had me get some of this S/O urinary cat food as an "insurance policy" to make sure the cat urinary blockage never occurs again and mix it into his regular cat food (which is now regular Royal Canin Feline Indoor 40, for weight maintenance). The reason I can mix this Urinary S/O food at about 20% and 80% of the regular Indoor 40 food is because my cat doesn't have stones developing in his system, this is just a preventative maintenance thing. If your own cat has serious urinary problems, you may need to go full strength on the S/O food, but talk to your vet about it.
In any case, I initially gave him the regular S/O urinary food and he started to gain some weight, so I switched him to this S/O urinary moderate calorie and it seems to have kept any weight gain at bay. :)
I am very pleased with the product and will continue to order it. My cat is not very finicky and he loves kibbles/dry food, so this has been great. If your cat is a "wet food eater", try the canned version of this product. I am very happy with the dry, as he likes it, it is low calorie, and no more urinary problems. :)
Ps. This is not intended to substituted vet advice about urinary problems. It is important to discuss your cat's medical issues with your vet. And if your cat cannot urinate, is crying, and leaking urine, that is a medical emergency.

Petego Yoga Pet Bowl, Small, Ivory

This bowl looks so cool and the large is ridiculously big bowl. However, the bottom of the bowl is only mere inches above the ground. For a bowl this size, it should be at least 6" off the ground to help a large dog from bending down. The handles are great for pickup up and the bowl doesnt slide around at all. Would be amazing if a little taller.

Now! Grain Free Turkey with Duck Formula Dry Cat Food
Posted by

on Tuesday, October 28, 2014
About a year ago, my 12-year-old cat developed an itchy rash on her forehead. The vet ruled out more serious health issues, and speculated that it was an allergic reaction or food sensitivity. And so began a year of cat food experiments...
We tried a range of grain-free foods with various protein sources. Some didn't help the skin; some she didn't like. The local pet food store suggested this. The big selling point was that it doesn't have any "meals"-no "chicken meal" or "fish meal" or "turkey byproduct" or whatever. She has been eating this for the past 6 months or so, and her skin has cleared up remarkably. And the fact that she taps on my cheek until I wake up and feed her in the morning suggests that it is also quite delicious.
It is expensive, but it has helped her skin issues enough that it's been worth it. (A trip to the vet costs quite a bit more!) If you have an older cat that seems to have developed a food sensitivity, this is definitely a good option to try.

Friskies Buffet Salmon Dinner Canned Cat Food

This is another favorite in our house. My cat doesn't want it more than 4 times a month or so, but he still wants it and licks the bowl clean. It is fish, not his favorite, but he really likes his salmon and this one is outstanding. It's ground (why don't they make a sliced or bits version?), not his favorite either, but he does get it down pretty quickly. Try this one it's a definite winner.

Well worth the price. My cats like it because it tastes great. I like it because it uses TOP quality ingredients and the small size to me, means that it is highly nutritious and easily digested, so there is no waste. Even though it is much smaller than "regular" dry cat food, I still hear them "crunch it" so I know they are not just swallowing it whole. I feed them this dry food in ADDITION to their canned food, so they get a small amount of NOW every day. The look great, and I know they are eating food that is very good for them,.

Vital Essentials 100% Freeze-Dried Raw Beef Patties Entree
Posted by
Unknown
I have 19 month old Rottweiler mix that came to me as a rescue. (rott-boxer, I presume) When I first brought her home she was a ravenous eater who was used to literally INHALING her food so the other dogs she fostered with wouldn't steal it from her. The first few months I had her on a rotation diet of various high quality grain-free kibbles and would mix in various things from high quality canned to salmon or tuna or pumpkin. I also had the luxury of being able to mix in the various supplements into her meals without her noticing.. Sigh, those really were the easy days.
At some point during this time I read about the benefits of a raw diet, and although I'm a vegetarian of 15 years I wanted to try it for my dog. Unfortunately it gave her diarrhea and she stopped eating it completely, so I gave up. Even cooked meat upsets her tummy (which I now know that I can slow cook meat at a low temperature in a covered glass container to help keep the loss of important nutrients and enzymes through cooking to a minimum)
Unfortunately after treating her for worms, which definitely was the cause of her slight frame and ravenous appetite, and a bout with coccidia she lost her appetite completely. I was at my wits end trying to feed her and tried everything and anything without much luck.
After trying out everything I could think of and then some, I managed to somewhat find a solution. If I took one of her treat toys, coated the bottom with peanut or raw almond butter, put in the kibble (and some of the supplements I used to give her, although not all) and then coated the food in peanut butter she would eat. If I partially hand fed her I could get her to eat a cup of food or more, and I could increase that amount by mixing kibbles in with our training treats while out on our walks.
Although I was happy to at least have a dog who was eating again (at least once every few days, which actually is probably closer to how dogs would eat in the wild) I was not happy feeding the SAME kibble and the SAME peanut or raw almond butter every day. I found a bag of Vital Essentials Beef Patties on sale at a local family owned shop and decided that the $6 investment was worth it to see if she would eat it.
I started feeding it to her by crumbling up some and mixing in with her peanut butter every night. (I figured a little raw was better than no raw at all, plus adding the extra caloric content wasn't bad either) Finally one day I took out a patty and held it out to her nose to see if she was interested and of course it was a no go. Then I got creative and smoothed some raw almond butter on top, and as soon as she smelled it her eyes got huge and she wolfed it down. I was ecstatic FINALLY!!!! I can feed my dog raw and know that she is enjoying some of the benefits of a healthy raw diet; without having to worry about the diarrhea that always undoubtedly came.
She will still occasionally turn her nose up at it, and it's not the ONLY food I feed her But it's the one I definitely feel the best about feeding! Since her appetite and diet changed her BM's tend to be loose more often than not. Even after adding a probiotic (in pill form, since I can no longer sprinkle supplements into her food) to her diet I didn't notice much of an improvement until she started eating Vital Essentials! Now her bm's are as they should be very small (for her size) and can be picked up without leaving any on the grass but isn't so hard that she has a hard time getting it out.
She now will typically eat it twice a day, although she will turn her nose up at it after 1 large patty or 2-3 small ones. For a dog of her size that simply wouldn't be enough food for her, and I believe in a variety diet anyway to emulate how they would eat in the wild.
I love the fact that I know it is filling, which I really appreciate when I'm working and I know she's sitting at home waiting. I hate to think of her sitting there hungry, but many times would come home and find her belly gurgling as she devoured kibble out of my hand out of pure hunger.
The only concerns or issues I have with the food is as follows -
1) When I first bought the mini beef patties on sale I was perplexed by the packaging I couldn't figure out if they were supposed to be reconstituted with water or served dry as is, and even the store clerk wasn't sure. Maybe some added instructions on the bag that they can be served "as is" would eliminate potential confusion.
(I also couldn't picture my dog eating the patties because even for her they just seemed too thick and large Of course all I had to do was break them up for her after coating the pieces with pb!)
2 Definitely not widely available locally. The store I originally found it in ONLY had that one bag (although still listed as a purveyor on the Vital Essentials website) and has never restocked. Of course I can and do order through Amazon but it would be nice to be able to purchase locally as well.
3) Price Of course price is going to be a concern for everyone in this economy, but I can't IMAGINE trying to feed this as her primary food. For smaller dogs I'm sure it's not nearly as bad the mini-patties come in a bag that's around $25 with free shipping. (with prime) Unfortunately for larger dogs that may require 8 or more patties a day that bag won't last very long.... And prime shipping isn't available for the larger patties.
The other option is to order to large patties but a roll of those would still only last 1-2 weeks and can cost as the Origen Regional Red kibbles she tolerates that will last a month or more!
4) Sizing It would be really nice if they made a LARGER bag of Beef mini-patties available on Amazon I've noticed some of their other varieties will come in 14 and 16 oz. bags, but I've only found beef in the 14 oz. Even better if it would come in a 20 oz. bag and was priced in between the large patties and the 12 oz. bag of mini-patties
5) Some type of frequent buyer program would be nice! (Especially considering there are other freeze dried patties out there to try!)
That said, I noticed that one of the companies I buy from through Amazon for the larger patties changed their pricing so the shipping is now built into the price and they offer a 5% discount if you buy two packages and 10% if you purchase even more I usually only buy one at a time because of the cost but since they are offering the discount I figured heck, why not?
Still, I'd like to see something from the manufacturer directly, or even just an occasional coupon from their website here or there.
Overall these are all MINOR issues just wanted to point them out for people who may be considering this food. My dog LOVES their beef rolls and so do I. I love the fact that she eats it, sometimes twice daily! This is a dog that routinely sticks her nose up at steak or chicken or lamb but absolutely LOVES to chow down on grass.
I love the fact that it's raw, AAFCO approved meaning it's a balanced raw diet, and that the company has such stringent methodologies of ensuring safe, nutritious food for your dog. I definitely recommend this food to at least give it a shot and see if your dog will like it hopefully the company sends samples if you contact them.

This pate is moist and easy to mush up with a fork. It even smells good (which isn't the case with many wet cat foods). I go through a couple cans a week and keep the leftovers in the fridge, heating the food up for 10 seconds and adding a little water before serving to my eager cat. (I only add water because my cat doesn't drink as much as she should. If your cat drinks regularly you shouldn't need to add water before serving.) The ingredients are admirable for pate as there are no meat byproducts, no corn, and no artificial stuff. The first five ingredients are meat, which is what felines need. Crude protein is 11%, Crude fat is 8%, Crude fiber is 1%, Moisture is 78%, Ash is 2.3%, and Taurine is .10%
A couple of months ago my feline friend developed fatty liver disease. It was a horrible experience which required me to tube feed her (a/d pate from the vet) every 2 hrs for a week, followed by syringe feeding every 2-4 hrs for two weeks after that. After this time we finally (and thankfully) got over the hump of her eating on her own. During the beginning of her eating on her own I tried a little bit of EVERYTHING on the shelves of Petco and the natural food store. My cat turned her nose up to everything but the a/d she'd been eating (which is quite expensive, not readily available, and stinky) until I discovered PetGuard: Chicken and Wheat Germ. I bought this from our natural food store in little cans and when I realized how much my cat liked this I bought the more affordable large cans. Initially I brought it to the vet tech to ask if this was a good alternative to the a/d and she approved it. Though the vet did scoff at kelp in the ingredients, but I prefer my cat eating kelp over meat byproducts. I've ordered two cases of this from Amazon so far and appreciate how quick and easy it is to just have this sent to my door. It costs slightly more to order than buying from the local store, but I can't overstate the convenience of coming home to a case at my door instead of taking trips to a store that only stocked it half the time. My cat still prefers this brand and flavor to all else (I have 2 cats who eats any wet food so can experiment new tastes with the formally ill cat without wasting food), but she has also eaten the Fish, Chicken, and Liver kind when I was desperate and the natural food store was out of her kind. My other cats like all the other PetGuard flavors we've tried.
