Kitty likes the rounded bowl because he can eat every drop of food. The bowl is solid and has a nice glaze, similar to the other Mason Cash pet saucer I own. My only gripe is that this bowl is difficult to pick up because of its weight and shape. It would've been nice to have some grooves around the bottom edge to improve grip.
