I have 2 3-year old cats that have suffered with chronic bowel problems since the day I brought them home. Their stools are always soft and range in consistency from formed, but mushy, to the consistency of mashed potatoes or pudding. Usually the latter two. One tested positive for roundworm & coccidia when I brought him home, the other for giardia, and though both were treated and all subsequent stool tests have come back negative, their stools remain malodorous and soft. I've tried probiotics, prescription diets, grain-free, the whole 9 yards every type of food on the market and even Kocci-Free to no avail. I was really hoping this product was the answer. Though this product did firm their stools up some (key word), their stools are still nothing close to normal and they remain the color of peanut butter/dijon mustard. I'm giving this product 4 stars because it did help some. My next step though with these boys is PCR testing for things like tritrichomonas, cryptosporidium, clostridium… My hunch is tritrichomonas as they appear healthy otherwise.
