I am very impressed with the quality of this food -I knew it was great stuff (been reading about it for a few months before shelling out the $$ to purchase a bag), but I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make in my cats' day-to-day lives. Since I've switched both of my overweight kitties to this stuff for the past 2 months, they have both lost a few ounces, have a *LOT* more energy, their coats are so shiny and silky, and generally seem really content/happy.
I had been feeding them a variety of lower-carbohydrate brands I thought were similar -Wellness Core, Solid Gold, Blue Buffalo Wilderness -for the past year and had noticed some improvement from feeding them the crappy Meow Mix stuff. I began to supplement their dry food diet with canned food, and was adding various supplements to their wet food (salmon oil, probiotic, Missing Link, etc.) Since they started eating this Evo stuff as their dry-food, I've noticed that I don't need to keep giving them salmon oil (their coats are like silk, even long after I've stopped supplementing with the Salmon oil) Their poopies are a bit stickier (sometimes sticking to their butts now in small bits), but that's minor compared to the difference I see in both of them. I'm planning on sticking with this Evo stuff as their dry food source, and will continue feeding them canned/wet along with it + filling the water fountains they love, and hope that it'll mean many, many more silly years together with them.
