For me this is an almost perfect bowl. I bought it because I wanted a bowl that would be heavy enough to stay in one place, and not go sliding across the floor. This bowl meets that criteria. The only problem I have with it is that it is a little large for my dog. If it was a little more shallow. I think that's the problem, it's a little deep for my dog. I use it because I think it's a really nice bowl. I don't put it in the dishwasher because I'm afraid that the little cork feet will come off.
