There are times when our cats just aren't hungry enough for the larger
5.5 round tuna-shaped cans. I buy these to fill in for those times.
They really like Fancy Feast. That is both good and bad, because FF is full of
a lot of junky foods and fillers. I don't like having grains in my pets' food, and
they don't need it.
Fancy Feast has perfected their marketing I tip my hat to them on that one.
(That's how I got suckered in that adorable kitten with the "Marry Us" tag commercial.)
But, it isn't the only food they eat.
When you buy Fancy Feast, pay close attention to the TEXTURE you are ordering.
Our cats will not eat any paté style foods, and I am sure there are a few people
reading this review who can relate to their cats being picky on texture.
These are sliced foods, and have nice little bites of meats and enough gravy to make them happy.
Note we have a small plastic container that we keep just for warming up our
cats' food cans. We fill the container with the hottest water from the tap and tuck
a can in there, and leave it for around five minutes. This warms the food up a little,
making it more appealing to your cats (they go by scent first, not sight), and loosens a little
more gravy from the can. A little bit of hot water in the can will also get the last of the gravy
from the edges! (Nah, we don't spoil them at all!)
